The Story Behind Aunt B

This little business started long before I ever gave it a name.

For years I heard, “You really need to sell this!”

Wellllll… in June 2025, I finally listened.

But Aunt B’s story goes back a whole lot further than that.

Here’s how the memories, the nickname & my love for feeding people all came together.

Meet the Baker

My real name is Britney, but to a whole lot of people, I’m just Aunt B.

My love for the kitchen started when I was little with my Grandma Jean, who owned The Three Pigs restaurant in downtown Anderson. While other kids were off playing, I was trying to sneak into Grandma’s kitchen.

I lost her when I was young, but I definitely got her love for cooking, baking & feeding people. Her gardening skills? Nope. Didn’t get those. And yes, I still ask Grandma Jean for a little help when I’m trying something new.

Food has always been my love language.

I’m a mom of two, an aunt to more youngins than I can count, and I’ve always been the person who shows up with food.

Birthday? I’m making something.
Bad day? I’m feeding you.
Mention your favorite cookie around me? Ohhhh… I’ll remember.

For years, everybody told me, “You need to sell this!” I kept putting it off until my son’s graduation year finally gave me the push I needed.

And in June 2025, Aunt B’s officially began.

It’s still a one-woman show. I shop, bake, package, take the pictures, come up with way too many ideas and do pretty much everything in between.

And trust me, not everything I try works. Some things go straight from the oven to the trash. That’s how I learn.

That’s also why every order, review, share, recommendation and person who stops by a pop-up really does mean something to me.

At the end of the day, I’m still doing what I’ve always done:

Feeding people & hoping what I made puts a smile on their face.

And when somebody comes back for seconds?

Yep. That’s the good stuff.

So… Why “Aunt B”?

Wellll... that started as a family joke.

When my sister was pregnant with her oldest daughter, we started talking about what the kids would call us.

Somewhere in that conversation, “Aunt B” came up — a little like The Andy Griffith Show — and it stuck!

Over the years, I became Aunt B to a whole lot of kids — some by blood and some simply because life made us family.

So when it came time to name this little business...

Aunt B’s just made sense.

A Little Sweetness Goes a Long Way

Aunt B’s has never been just about selling cookies.

I believe when somebody is doing good, tell ’em. When they deserve a little appreciation, show ’em. And sometimes, surprise somebody just because you can.

That’s why I started my Community Giveaways — to recognize first responders, school staff, community helpers and everyday good people.

Sometimes y’all nominate them. Sometimes I find them. And sometimes I just think...

“Wellllll… somebody needs some cookies.”

The more Aunt B’s grows, the more I can give back.

So keep me busy.

You keep Aunt B bakin’ and I’ll keep finding people who deserve a little sweetness.

A Little Note From Aunt B

Hey y’all,

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. And I really mean that.

When I started Aunt B’s, I had no clue where this little adventure was going to go. I just knew I loved to bake, loved feeding people and had been told for YEARS that I needed to do something with it.

Since then, y’all have ordered my goodies, shared my posts, left reviews, stopped by my pop-ups, voted on my crazy ideas, told your friends about me and kept coming back to see what I’m gonna come up with next.

Every bit of that matters to me.

And to all my youngins who call me Aunt B — whether you’re actually related to me, family by choice, or somewhere along the way you just decided I was your Aunt B too — I wouldn’t have it any other way.

It still makes me laugh that a nickname that started as a family joke somehow ended up on a business. But here we are.

I’m still learning as I go. I still try things that don’t work. I still get WAY too many ideas and convince myself I can somehow do all of them. And I’ll probably always believe food can make just about any day a little better.

So thank you for letting me do something I truly love and for supporting this little one-woman business of mine.

I appreciate y’all more than you know.

Okayyyy… that’s enough mushy stuff from me.

Go eat a cookie.

Made with Love. Shared with You.
